'Isn't It A Pity' is the 5th track on this album from 'All Things Must Pass'. 'Here Comes The Sun' is the live version from the 'Concert For Bangladesh' and has members of Badfinger on guitar and Harrison strumming acoustic guitar and singing an obviously wholehearted rendering. He became tired of Beatlemania extremely early on, about 1965 or so, and this song is about that time. 'When We Was Fab' is Harrison's memorial of the fab days of being one of the planet's most noted pop stars. Reassuring everyone that'sunset doesn't last all evening / a mind could blow those clouds away' the tune is not just about unhappiness or pain, it certainly reveals that all things pass away. 'All Things Must Pass' is of course the title song of that album, and represents Harrison at his most philosophical. George quickly helped by coordinating the first concert of its kind ever on the globe, a rock concert arranged in particular for the point of raising money to help an important cause. The Concert was a benifit concert that George arranged to help give must haves for refugees from East Pakistan, after Ravi Shankar asked Harrison recommendation on what might be done for these unfortunate people.
'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' is included here by a live version from the fabulous Concert For Bangladesh. The album was painstakingly remixed by George Martin's Song Giles. The songs were personally picked by Harrison's wife Oliva. It assuredly shows just how much he grew as a tunesmith over the years and what an inventive, talent he was. Let it Roll is a good catalogue of songs which show just how ingenious an artist Harrison was. On Apr 14, George Harrison was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. George is a two time member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as a solo artist and as a Beatle, and an eleven-time Grammy Award winner for his work with The Beatles, Traveling Wilburys, and as a solo artist. Let It Roll also includes live recordings of three timeless Harrison-penned Beatles songs,'Something,''While My Guitar Gently Weeps,' and 'Here Comes The Sun,' from his 1971 star-packed Concert For Bangladesh charity event in NY's Madison Square This group of songs is the first to cover George Harrison's complete solo recording career, including the #1 Billboard Pop singles ''Isn't It A Pity & 'Got My Mind Set On You.'. 'Let It Roll : Songs by George Harrison is a gathering of songs that takes us far into the area that was ultimately a place unique to George,' accorrding to Warren Zanes in his liner notes for the greatest hits album The album's nineteen songs have been digitally remixed by Giles Martin at EMI's Abbey Road Studios, and is out in both CD and digital forms. George Harrison's just-released Greatest Hits unique packaging contains a 28 page book featuring formerly unreleased and unique pictures, and newly-written liner notes by Warren Zanes.
